Where is The Retreatment held?
What are arrival and departure times?
Programming will begin at 5:00 pm AST on Monday, October 21, 2024.
Programming ends at 11:00 am AST on Friday, October 25, 2024.
Flight Information
Recommended*** Puerto Plata (POP) (Jet Blue and United Airlines, daily): a slow, 1.5 hour, 40-mile drive to the resort through several towns, including Cabarete, an international kite-surfing village.
Santo Domingo (SDQ) (Jet Blue, UAL, and Delta, daily): a 2.5-hour drive from the south of the island through the mountains, along a pretty highway.
Santiago (STI) (Jet Blue and American, daily): a beautiful but winding 2-hour drive through the mountains. Not to be done at night.
*** We can only provide shuttle transportation to/from POP international airport.
Transportation
Please take note of the suggested arrival and departure times and book your flights accordingly. We will arrange ground transportation through Playa Grande. Please fill out your travel form by September 21, 2024, to ensure your spot.
Share Your Itinerary
When you’re ready, please share your travel itinerary with us HERE. We must collect this information for all students, regardless of whether or not you are utilizing our group shuttle. Travel itineraries must be sent by September 21, 2024. Our shuttle schedule will be sent one week prior to our arrival.

How can I book massage appointments?
Massage appointments may be booked in advance or upon arrival. Please email [email protected] for instructions. A reminder that massage services are not included in the cost of The Retreatment.
Are afternoon activities required?
Everything during The Retreatment is optional. We highly encourage you to join us for meditation, The Class, and restorative afternoon movement, as this programming is designed to be cumulative. This week is about taking care of YOU. Please do what feels best and right for your body and spirit.
What is an altar offering?
During The Retreatment, we invite you to bring an object that holds meaning for you. We will create a space at the front of our practice room for you to place this object. It could be a photo, a piece of art, jewelry, a letter… anything. We suggest that you think about this ahead of time. Begin the process of envisioning what you are stepping into this week and how this offering can support your journey.
Dietary Restrictions
All our meals will be gluten-free, dairy-free, refined-sugar-free, and, most importantly, delicious. If you did not submit any dietary allergies during registration, please let us know of any restrictions as soon as possible by emailing [email protected].

How do I access my 30-day free trial to The Class Digital Studio?
An access link will be provided in your Welcome to The Retreatment email. Please be sure you are subscribed to receive The Class emails, and check your promotions/spam folders.
Is pricing in USD?
Yes, pricing listed on our website is in USD.
How can I accept contributions from friends and family towards my trip?
The Contributions feature through our booking platform, WeTravel, allows you to fundraise and collect payments from your family and friends to put towards your trip balance. Read more about contributions HERE.
About Playa Grande Beach Club
Does Playa Grande Beach Club have air conditioning in the rooms?
Yes, there is AC in all the bungalows.
Will each room be locked individually within the property?
Yes, we will offer individual locks and keys to each guest for their bedrooms.
Are there safes for valuables inside each bedroom?
There are no safes in the bedrooms.
Are electrical converters needed?
No, most plugs in the DR are the same as in the US: two flat prongs. We recommend you to pack a 3 to 2 prong adapter in case type B sockets are not available.
Are yoga mats provided?
Yes.
What amenities are provided in the bathrooms?
Hairdryers, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion are supplied in each bathroom. Each bungalow also has a full kitchen (oven, refrigerator, freezer, coffee maker, and toaster) as well as AC, high-speed internet, and telephones.
Is the water safe to drink?
Please bring a refillable water bottle, as noted in the packing list. There will be fresh drinking water and glasses available 24 hours a day in the main house and inside each room. The water comes down from the mountains and is treated with a triple osmosis process. The water is delicious and mineral-rich.
Is wifi available?
Yes, all bungalows and common areas are equipped with high-speed internet.
I am driving myself; is parking available?
Yes, complimentary parking is available on property.
Are pool towels provided?
Yes.
Will alcohol be served?
There will be alcohol available through your room tab at the hotel. Please provide a credit card upon arrival, so your tab may be settled when you depart. Alcohol is not included in The Retreatment total.
Is laundry service available?
Yes, laundry service can be provided for $10/load.
Logistics
What is the cancellation policy?
The Class Corp. does not offer refunds for the deposit for any reason.
If you should need to cancel prior to the September 21, 2024, payment deadline you will not be responsible for the remainder of your payment.
Should you need to cancel on or after September 21, 2024, the remainder of your payment must be paid in full.
The Class Corp. is not responsible for your expenses incurred in preparation for any canceled retreat, such as airline tickets, loss of work, and/or other costs associated with preparing for your trip.
When is my remainder due?
Remainder payments are due September 21, 2024. Payments are auto-enabled using your credit card on file through WeTravel.
Travel Insurance
It is your responsibility to read and understand our cancellation policy before making a reservation. Naturally, no one books with the intention of canceling or postponing their retreat, but unexpected things do happen, so please consider purchasing travel cancellation insurance. Depending on the policy and conditions, travel cancellation insurance will pay for some or all cancellation fees. With most agencies, insurance must be purchased within 14 days of making your reservation. We strongly recommend purchasing cancellation insurance through your travel agent, or visit the following site to compare insurers: www.worldnomads.com.
