Glossary
From immersive destination experiences to special appearances in cities around the world, The Class offers a variety of ways to practice, gather, and connect.
Retreatment
The Retreatment is our deepest expression of The Method, designed as a multi-day, destination-based immersion to create space for meaningful transformationLed by The Class’s most experienced Teachers, each Retreatment brings together movement, breath, sound, meditation, nourishing meals, time in nature, and thoughtfully curated experiences. With the details of daily life taken care of, students are invited to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and deepen their practice within an intimate community.
In-Residence
A recurring series of Classes offered in one location for a defined period of time.
Residencies bring an ongoing expression of The Class to a destination outside our permanent studios. They may take place over several days, weekends, weeks, or months and often include a consistent schedule, rotating Teachers, and special community or partner moments.
Pop-Up
Pop-ups can range from a single Class to a short series of individual Classes and may take place in studios, hotels, cultural spaces, outdoor locations, or other unique venues. They offer a temporary opportunity to experience The Class in a new city or community.
Festival
A Class presented as part of a larger festival, conference, or community gathering.
Festival experiences introduce The Class within a broader program of movement, wellness, music, culture, or conversation. These Classes are typically designed for larger audiences and offer an accessible, high-energy way to experience the Method alongside the wider festival community.
